Hi Folks

I have got several years’ experience of credit control and now thinking of going freelance.

Would somebody be kind enough to advice how to become one and what equipment I would need to set up at home?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

I didn't realise there was much call for freelance credit controllers. I thought most companies would have in-house employed credit controllers or would use factoring? Good luck to you if you decide to proceed. I would imagine you would need very little except for a desk and a computer and you would need to register as self employed with HMRC.

You'd probably struggle to go the self-employed route, as companies who do engage external do so via limited companies as consultants or contractors; their limited liability status also can work to your benefit.
