Accountant discloses an employee's salary

This is a workplace related question. A colleague has made hints she knows my salary and that the accountant responsible for payslips told her about some peoples salaries. It is unprofessional and upsetting. What is the rules/confidentiality about this?

You should speak to your Manager about your worries. Do you know if the accountant is regulated by a professional body? If so you can report them.0
