Level 3 apprenticeship - Can I start level 4 before I sit synoptic? 1 year and 1 day

Hi everyone,

I am currently in a level 3 apprenticeship - My learning provider has told me that I have to be on my level 3 course for at least 1 year and 1 day before I can book my synoptic, is it possible to sit exams for level 4 before I actually finish my level 3 course altogether?

Or should I just focus on something else in-between exams?

Any replies/advice would be highly appreciated.

It is possible to sit level 4 exams without finishing level 3. However if you are doing it through a provider they may not allow you to (especially if you plan on doing level 4 with them).

Thankyou very much for your reply.
If I plan to self study level 4, would I be able to, do you know?

Is it just best to speak to my provider?

You can certainly self study level 4. I'd check with your provider only because I don't know the details of your learning agreement. They can't stop you doing level 4 by your self but might have provisions regarding your level 3 and completing it before moving on.
