Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am just trying to set myself up as a sole trader doing accounts and taxation returns for clients, but to enable me to do this and become a member in practice I need proffesional cover. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who is a current member in practice in my area who would be able to do this for me, can anyone help?

Where are you based? i will see if I can help you.
Alternatively, have a look at the list of members in practice on this site and contact those who are close to you. I found my professional cover through my branch network. I asked the chairman to make an announcement during a branch meeting, and a voluynteer came forward.

Gook luck with your practice.

0 -

Hi I am based in the Midlands and at the moment running my business alongside my job. I am currently only doing books for people I know who are sole traders and self employed so have not yet advertised. Have you tried advertising on yell.com and also through the aat website?0 -

Hi, my area at the moment is Leicestershire but having only just set up am not sure how much wider this area will become. Was it difficult to set up your practice and which cover did you have from AAT?0 -

Hi,
Many thanks for your response. I do advertise on Yell.com and have just placed a box in the Yellow pages which is due out next month. Apart from advertising in the local paper which I have already tried, I don't know what else to do. I'm sure that if I can get a few clients on board, word of mouth will play a vital role. There must be a lot of businesses out there who need our help !0
