I find Vizyopia good. It's a journalled based package (well at least we use it as a journalled based package). Not sure how much it costs, and whether it would be too expensive (or rather more than one would want to spend) if they were a sole trader completing client's accounts.0 -

Hi,
I know some accoutants don't like this, but I don't mind Quickbooks, and some of my clients find it much easier to understand and use, especially if they have no bookkeeping knowledge. QB does everthing from SOP/POP though to final accounts. I have one pretty awful experience with QB when I was visiting a client to update his books. He had access to the software when I wasn't there and liked to "dabble" - he would edit and delete all sorts of things, and QB doesn't have an audit trail like Sage. The moral of this story is...... if your client has access to your data, make sure he is well briefed , and consults you before making adjustments.

0 -

You are absolutely right Shelagh, and I am as guilty as anyone of reading but not writing. However, I do find this facility very helpful and would hate it to become obsolete.

I am in the process of buying new tax software. I have test CDs from Sage and Forbes and can't decide on which one to opt for. Does anyone out there have any experience of these and could give me some advice on how easy they are to use in practice and what the technical support is like. Any comments would be graefully appreciated.

Thanks0
