Hi

I have been asked to set up a book-keeping system from scratch for a roofing company. I understand that they will fall under the construction industry sector, I have no accounting experiencing of construction industry accounting and believe that they have different accounting procedures. Can anyone advise me on this.

    Hi, I also deal with construction. I have a spreadsheet all laid out for the 18% deduction using pivot tables to summarise each month. Would you like a copy? I could email it to you.

    It turns out that It's not just book-keeping he reqires, his accounts are in such a mess that no other accountant seems to want the work! His accounts for this year have not been done, so i'm left with sorting that out as well! So, its head down and a matter of gettting on with it. Thanks again everyone. Please feel free to email me.
