Have just received a reminder telling me that my VAT return for 1st July to 31st July is due by 31st August.

What a total waste of time and money! :x

I've just had a reminder to let me know I can do mine online - I already do them online! 8)

If you file online then you probably got an email reminder?

I myself like this and agreed with Gill, what a waste of resources!

Apparently the reminders have been sent out a month early

Perhaps they should catch up on their paperwork instead!

I subscribe to email alerts and regularly receive 3 or more each day. A missing link in their paperwork chase? 8)

    Re:HM CUSTOMS

I phoned Revenue etc regarding one of our clients and they told me that the East Cheshire/Lancs area office is still dealing with post from 1 June 2006.

This was in relation to a 5th April 2005 query.

How crap are they and what's the point in the sodding deadlines when the people making them can't even keep to them. And they want to bring it forward!

This country is going to the bloody dogs. Let's all emigrate. This government is abhorrent!

What gets me is that the DVLA can spot any untaxed vehicle in the whole of the UK yet the government doesn't even know how many illegal immigrants we've got!

Let the DVLA run the country - they may make a better job of it and run that tosspot over that refers to himself as Lord Carter.

    Rant over.

Lord Carter - ummm how much would I like to put that particular gentleman on my christmas card list!!

How can you review the subject of tax returns etc without speaking or consulting with any of the accountancy bodies!! I'm sure that is not what IR want either, they can't cope with the volume of work they have now.
