Hi Does anyone know if you can download an extended trial balance in excel format.

    I thought that there might be a website where you could download templates, but gave up and created some.

    I've got a half decent ETB in Excel format which you can have if you want. It's the standard format, but you can fill in the account names on the left from drop down lists plus you'll get warning messages if the columns don't balance!

    I also have FRA templates for the P&L and Balance Sheets. There are ones for some ECR things too such as process costings, manufaucturing P&Ls' plus loads of other printable stuff.

    I spent many hours lovingly designing and error checking them, so it would be nice if they could be of use to someone else!

    Hello all,

    Have sent the ETB, P&L and Balance sheet to all those who asked for them. Just had a look at some of the other templates with auto-sums and I wouldn't be confident in sending them out as I'm not sure they're error free! Many were only used once (and some not at all), so I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong answers from them!

    Okay will do. Have also now slightly amended the ETB to include partnership accounts which will come later in FRA.

    Sorry to all who haven't yet received their stuff, I will try to send them tonight. I have the HSE coming in very soon to review my list of 'ordered' improvements, so the accounting stuff has had to sit on the bylines for a while... :evil:

    :roll: Hi there, I wonder if I could be really cheeky and ask for a copy of the excel thingy too please. I would love to get ahead and this sounds just the thing when I am writing reams of A4 when I could just run off copies through the printer (I know I am lazy)
