    Hi All,

    Wondering if anybody can advise me.

    I have just received my Unit 31 (Part 3) D2007 and I will need to hand this in in 4 weeks.
    I have just looked at the tasks and task 3 is 'arrange to meet with a fellow student also competing this assessment & discuss with each other the plans and ideas we have for presenting our work.......'

    I am distance Learing & have no idea how I would know who is doing the same simulation as me!!! I have to get them to sign my statement as well.

    How do I go about this?

    Where are you living? Respond on this thread with that info and a request for people living near you to meet or Private Message, etc. Also for publicity, try Study Buddy. [...!]

    If you look further down this forum, you will find a thread for 'Unit 31 skills test' and others for 'distance learning' - consult them.

    If you go to the General Forum, you will see a thread for 'devolved assessments', also 'Home study devolved' (some participants are also distance learners).
    Check the info in your distance-learning course pack, regarding skills tests and signatures. If you have already read this info, then read it again, more carefully... Contact whoever you are studying with for more info... (ie the provider of the study pack.)
    Make contact with other students. Also, try contacting your local college - look in the AAC guide from AAT. Direct approach to faculty tutors, etc...

    Unfortunately, I am NVQ, and via college, and have never seen the info that these distance-learning packs provide.

    Ps I have a vague feeling that this skills test that you are facing is probably the standard for all students at this time (Diploma anyway...) Those who fail it, will get a different one, next time!!!

    Now practiced 2 skills tests. The first took me about 6 hrs and the second just over two hours. Had another ago at the first one today and managed it in less than two hours. Actual skills test is tomorrow. Our tutor is collecting them in after four hours regardless of whether we have finished them or not.

    sorry to bring up an old thread, but i was jus wondering is there anyway of getting hold of past skills test papers??ive jus requested my unit 31 skills test, an nows when i start to worry...

    Sorry for the delay.

    There are sample Unit 31 sims on the aat site.

    If you look to the left border of the above page, there are other resources for Diploma.

    You will have problems getting hold of other sims as they keep hold of them, for use in future, and the Diploma is new - so there aren't many in existence.

    For practice, why not try some of the NVQ sims, which you will find at the back of textbooks? (Recommend Osborne's Foundation Workbook. isbn 1-8729-6252-1)

    hi, thanks very much for your help, an i also realised in my unit 31 revision companion book, theres a mock one at the back of the book! doh!lol. i didnt get that far... thank you again
