Not necessarily your favourite film, but a 'wow' film.
Mine is Arlington Road - simply because when it finishes, you have all these "what if" thoughts.

Re:Film?
Braveheart ... For heritage reasons :-)0 -
Re:Film?
Entertaining film, but not one to be relied upon for factual content.
I don't have a problem with films like that - they're not advertised as documentaries.
Thought it funny when they plonked Mel on a small horse to try and make him look taller!0 -
Re:Film?
I agree that both Arlington Road and Braveheart were cracking films.
LA Confidential was definitely a "Wow" film! Not quite as clever as many fans make out - some of it is actually quite dumb if you think about it long enough! - but one that after watching I said "Eff me!"

Re:Film?
All The Presidents Men - I love anything that is based on fact - even if it's sometimes way over the top!

Dans ma Peux ("In My Skin")
Yes its in French, but once you get past that, the exploration of the psychology of autocannibalism is both enthralling and reulsive.
(ps- Autocannibalism may not be a real word- if it was it would mean "the practice of eating one's own flesh")0 -
Re:Film?
Battle Royale! Aidy made me watch it the other week and i have to say i did enjoy it! Which surprised me cos its not my kind of film!
and SAW is also quite good although i couldnt watch most of it!

Re:Film?
I watched Gladiator for the first time at the weekend - I didn't think I'd like it, but was very impressed!0 -
Re:Film?
I thought the same thing when I saw it.
I think there was a lot of hype at the time, which doesn't always help a film.

Pulp Fiction, Godfather, Donnie Darko, Carlitos Way (What a film) Usual Suspects, The Sting0 -
Re:Film?
Re usual suspects i saw that for the first time a couple of weeks ago after Aidy told me that there was a twist at the end that even he still doesnt see the clues after watching it about 20 times! I got the twist about half way through the film! Did anybody else get it?0 -
Re:Film?
I must admit I didnt, Im amazed that you saw that coming!0 -
Re:Film?
I though it was just really predictable!0 -
Re:Film?
What gave it away?0 -
Re:Film?
Have you seen Donnie Darko, or Carlitos way?
Prob my favourite two films of all time. They are both amazing in their different genres0 -
Re:Film?

As soon as they were at the boat i knew although i had suspicions before then0 -
Re:Film?
Amazing, all I can say. You will think about that film at some point every week as long as you live after seeing it. But you need to watch it again and again to get the full effect0 -
Re:Film?
Who's in it and what's it about?0 -
Re:Film?
OH please, that cant be answered, thats what so amazing.
Essentially it is based on time travel.0 -

Re:Film?
RE: Gladiator - "My name is Maximus Decimus Aurelius, Father to a mudered son, husband to a murdered wife, and I will one day have my vengeance, in this lifetime or the next" etc...
MY FRIEND WAS IN IT!!! ROAAARR!!!!
When they were having a feast in the tent my friend was the guy holding a bowl of fruit - some TV versions have cut this scene out for some reason, but it's on the DVD - hehehe, everytime I watch it (I do like it) because I relaly like the theme tunes and the music throughout, he always stands and puffs out his chest as if he were the Main Actor! hahah
Mates, gotta luv em0 -
