why is it taking so long to get the 20th

hi all

why is it taking so long to get the 20th, i literally cant wait to see my exam results !!!

and does anyone know what time they will appear in my inbox ?

    They normally come through just after midnight. The last couple of times mine have come through at about 1am. So if you're really eager to know just keep checking your inbox from midnight onwards!! : )

    Just think it will have taken over 2 months to produce the results that is a long time,all the results will be in now and everything that needs to be done to them completed, so I cant see why they cant release them now.

    ACCA results out on 19th,previously they have been last to issue the results, now AAT decided to do it last :-o

    Not true. I can't remember what my teacher said, but in previous years they only got 1 week to mark them all. This year they have 2.
    The markers don't get them for ages as the standard mark has to be set first.
    It's a rather complicated process!

    thats irelevant from the time you do the exam to the time you get the information if you have passed or failed you have waited over 2 months,so if the marker only gets a week why does it take so long then ?it doesnt take that amount of time to set the mark,i dont belive that its complicated the aat only make it complicated.

    You can't say it's irrelevent when that is the reason for the delay!
    You don't know how it works, so how can you say it doesnt take that amount of time to set the mark? How do you know it's not complicated?

    and if I think it takes to long then so be it
    and if you dont then that is up to you.

    Well how about contacting the AAT with your 'gripe' and not being rude to people on here who are trying to help you.

    its not a case of being rude if i have something to say then i will say it and if you read the posts you will find that i was expressig my view that is all,thats wat i pay my money for just like everybodyelse and she was not trying to help.

    My argument was that if all the marking has been done then why have the results not been given
    out,there was no gripe at the markers it was the aat
    and it awsn't an argument it was a question.

    Ok, well we dont know that, so like I said, best asking the AAT. When you have contacted them post the response, Im sure people would be interested to know.

    As I understand it, once the exams are marked, a selection from each marker are remarked to ensure the standard is the same. Then the results are plotted and any marginal fails are remarked. they also have to go through admin checks and the results emails checked too to make sure they are accurate. It all takes time.

    As ACCA and CIMA are similar waits - I would assume that they don't sit on the results!

    I'd rather it was the 20th as well but then the 24th and then my boyfriend was back home as well, he has had to go away with work for 2 weeks so he will be away on Valentines day.
