Hello all. I hope to get to know you all as time goes by. I've just enrolled on the AAT foundation course and I recieved my pack in the post last week and am enjoying getting stuck into it. I'm finding the balancing of double entry accounts and control accounts bits tricky at the min but it'sall good. I'm excited and nervous at the same time as I have NO accounts experiance whatsoever.
I'm 27, male, from London. My interests are kickboxing, football, theology, playing guitar and harmonica, reading, concerts, movies, history, architecture etc....I have a pretty diverse set of interests, I know. Laughing
Well theres a little about me - I look forward to interactng with you all and hopefully learning lots and lots!!
Thanks for reading this, my third post.
Cheers
Rich

Re:Newbie to Foundation
I hate laughing - as some people on here who know me better have probably already gathered. It's a modern day plague! Helen - Baggybooks - never laughs either...
Welcome Rich... if you get stick or need course advice, this is the right place to come!
Regards,

How do you know I didn't mean stick anyway, Helen? Just because the i is next to the u, it doesn't necessarily mean it was an error!
(Just need to make a quick trace on your location Helen, so I can send round my resident heavy mob with their Chelsea bricks...)
I forgive you...

How kind of you!
Got to show my ignorance here - Chelsea bricks - all I can think of are Chelsea boots - fancy little things, not normally worn by rufty tufty types, more your double glazing salesman type.
Google Earth - find that location!
LOL - more than ever before.

Re:Newbie to Foundation
Yes, sorry Rich. When I recommended this Forum to you, I forgot that we were all bonkers.

Re:Newbie to Foundation
Bonkers is such a cool word. I haven't said 'bonkers' for years.

Re:Newbie to Foundation
Hi Rich
Welcome to the AAT
. I don't post on here often as I don't really get time but I always have a quick check of the posts as there's always some really useful information.
I'm in the same position as you, I'm 27 and don't really have any accounts experience. I'm doing my aat certificate level at college. I'm half way through the course and absolutely love it. Believe me you will really get the hang off double entry.
Before I started my course I purchased a book by Frank Wood and it has been an absolute god send. When things aren't clear I can check things and get a different angle on things. It has really helped my studies.
Anyway, good luck and have fun that's the most important thing.

Take care
Shelley
