Windows Vista & Office 2007

I have just upgraded, what a pig vista was to do!!! Vista appears to have some excellent security features and office is taking some getting used to but should pose some benefits.

Has anyone else upgraded, what are your thoughts?

    My thoughts are to wait until I get a new computer - all the bugs will have been ironed out, and it will be free with every new computer :lol:

    I bought a new pc last month.

    I decided not to wait - let all the hackers have their fun and wait until Microsoft have finished tweaking.

    I have been using it now for about a week and the security is very good, i've never seen any other windows operating system do what vista does. It can be a bit anoyying but vista always asks for confimation etc. for everything. I upgraded to the ultimate version and there appears to be some extensive back up facilities as well... encrypting data etc.

    Early days I suppose...

    Interesting Money Programme tonight on the build up to its launch.

    Although it was mainly marketing driven, still of interest.

    We were advised not to upgrade until service pack 1 comes out!

    Trouble is now that the best way to do it is to buy a new pc as there is so much that won't run, ours is on its last legs so we're going to hang on til the bugs and fixes are sorted and then get it.

    Let us know how you get on Dean, certainly the alt tab through the open windows looks stylish and I like the facilities that are available for the desktop.
