Re:Study Buddy
You know when your gob (or fingers in this case) start and then brain engages - that's what happened here! Sad wasn't the word I was looking for, more "my mates have all got kids and don't want to stand on my own in the pub and look like a billy no mates, Mrs is on the M6 somewhere" so I came on here!
I think my verbal warning is about to reach me in the form of a PM.

Re:Study Buddy
Sorry mate - you're just digging yourself in deeper and deeper.
Accept the fact that you want to join our gang - don't fight it.
The girls will be down to see you tomorrow for the practical test and then after that, Malcolm and the boys will set up the 'inititiation'.

Re:Study Buddy
Practical test? Should I arrange for the M6 to be closed for 48 hours? I'm afraid we can't do "initiations". You've heard that a high court judge can't be subject to arrest, well the same thing happens when you contribute to the AAT magazine in that contributors can't be subject to initiations of any form. However, practical tests by "the girls" are allowed (and actively encouraged) within the circuit of professional contributors.
I think any form of professionalism I had has now well and truly gone out the window!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Well, as I've contributed to the mag on more than one occasion, as have some of the other buddies, that really is a lame excuse.
As for professionalism, once you came on here - that went straight of the window and the door too!
I should warn you that the girls will be bringing hot wax and tweezers with them.
Sweet dreams!0 -

Re:Study Buddy
I can still hear J crying for mercy...
Not a pretty sight.
The main part of the inititiation is designed by Robert and involves the successful parking of a vehicle (normally a car).
Unfortunatley, he took 3 goes before passing!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Ouch! I can almost feel the pain!!!
I now wonder what you did to toadface as he's totally disappeared. Is he under the patio at 154 Clerkenwell Road?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
We're not allowed to mention him!0 -

Re:Study Buddy

Nice PM
It takes a lot to get me on the offensive :-) you could practically slate me all day and i'd find a way to join in with you.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Glad I've not offended anyone!!
Anyway, have to go now - don't work too late Jamie.
I'll go out tomorrow and buy some immac whilst having an anaesthetist on stand by.
Take care.

Re:Study Buddy
I woke up last ngiht at 2.40am, the plan was to have a n early night and watch TV in bed and fall asleep at a nice early time - watched TV watched some more, chatted, watched some more and it was 12.30! went to sleep for about 1.15ish and woke up at 2.40! couldn't get back to sleep - was wide awake! Now i'm knackered! and longing for my bed - but it's not even lunch time yet.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Did anyone fall victim to an April Fool?
Come on Malcolm, you must have come close?
:roll:0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Why is it when the word 'fool' is mentioned, my name comes up?
Is there a hidden message there?
No, I was Fool-free yesterday.0 -
