A thread for us all to see what phases we have been through in our lives so far, IE...
When I was 11 I wanted to be in the RAF and I would practice flying sat in a cardboard box clutching onto a steering wheel made of nothing but fresh air.
Recently, I kitted myself out with a guitar and the essentials when I decided I was going to be a musician miracle..
Now, today, after reading an article, I have decided I am going to become a Football Referee... god knows where it came from, but I thought about it a few times today and each time I get the tickly feeling in my belly, the sort of feeling I get when I see Helen :-) or some other young gorgeous model. It's gotta count for something right?... I have registered with the FA and have had a look at some of the courses, juts need to book one now.

Re:Fads in Life
A selection of my fleeting obsessions:
Anglo-Saxon Poetry
Archery
Baking cakes
Chainmail (crafting of)
Chinese food (cooking of)
Guitar (acoustic)
Norman/early medieval period
Religion (various flavours of Christian)
Russian language (learning)
Science fiction (writing of)
Tablet-weaving (crafting)
Vampires (folklore of)
Vikings!
In terms of profession, I have wanted to be:
Accountant (of some type)
Doctor (general practice- come on, my initials are GP anyway!)
Living History guide (the people in costume at castles etc)
Pilot (the civilian/commercial type)
Scientist (the mad type  )
Tax Inspector (yes, really, though that's quite recent)
Teacher (further/higher ed. only)

Re:Fads in Life
GP the GP

Sometimes I want to be a policewoman with a speed gun

Other times I will settle for just running the country, and I would solve all problems instantaneously

Not that I am a meglomaniac or anything

Re:Fads in Life
I dream of earning a living from writing.
I plan to use my experiences on here to write a prize-winning novel about intrigue, unrequited passion, J's knees and ... you'll have to buy a copy!
