Hi

I'm currently looking into doing some work on my CPD.

I know roughly what I need to progress in or what I need more knowledge in only trouble is I don't know how to get started.

Am I better of progressing in the areas I don't use very often or in the skills I use on a daily basis.

I'm studying towards ACCA, will this count towards my CPD.

Hope this doesn't make me sound hopeless. I don't really get much suport from my employer so I'm kind of not very good with the development of things

Thanks

Caz

    Re:CPD

    Dear Caz,

I found the start really difficult too so don't feel alone. I downloaded exerything off the CPD part of the website and used that as a guide for starting.
I have the same problem as you, I do not go on much formal training and have been in my job a long time.
I built up a plan using the CPD site of all the things I wanted to learn in say a year and built my record from there.
What I would suggest is that you get yourself on one of the CPD workshops, I went to one in York and felt much better afterwards, it confirmed what I was doing was ok. I keep a record of all the stuff I do using the form on the site to help.

    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Philippa :)

    Caz,

Further to Philippa's post, studying towards ACCA will most definitely count towards your CPD.
