Yesterday, I went home on the train as normal and unbeknown to me until this morning, the next stop after I get off - there were two youths with an AK-47 assault rifle waving it about on the platform and pointing it at a man in a crane.

    Just find it incredible the authorities were bickering amongst themselves as to who should have followed it through. :roll:


    Discipline, is something this child obviously lacks in his life. Could he be beyond the control off his parents now? If thats a real rifle, the chances are he is.

    *PC button off* Some kids today need a right good kicking, maybe his parents do as well.

    How did he/they get a gun?

    Did no parents/family notice?

    Shocking but hardly surprising.

    However, I did hear that the Manchester police have now charged a thirty five year old, six foot two, nineteen stone coloured woman in connection with the above incident....

    Its getting worse. I see kids with knives in my estate the whole time. Being young and a new home owner I have to live in a horrible estate because I cant afford to live anywhere nice.

    I dont know what can be done. Isnt Manchester notoriously bad for gun crime?

    Notorious? I wouldn't say so for the whole of manchester, just certain parts of manchester.

    We only started hearing about it though in the last 5 - 10 years

    How about recalling our elite troops from tackling a lost "war on terror" in Iraq and get them fighting the winnable war on crime in our streets?

    I'd send one hundred of our best into the worst city places, armoured vehicles, body shields and armed to the frigging teeth, literally dripping firepower. Get them to surround the gangs in one lightning swoop and any gang member caught with an illegal firearm should be summarily executed on the spot, oops I mean arrested, charged and sent on holiday to DisneyWorld.

    So I think it could happen but I know it never will...
