Has anyone else finally realised that we now effectively have two different Forums? No wonder it didn't look like there was any activity for days.

First we have this one;

And now we have this one;

http://www.accountingtechnician.co.uk/forums/forums/list.page;jsessionid=6360ED5108705EC4D41A55B75B195002

If you compare the two forums side by side in different windows you can see that posts appear in either both versions or just one or the other. Judging from recent comments, it appears complete pot luck which one your posts will end up in.

Nice of the AAT site administrators to keep us informed of current changes - not. Could they get any more totally bloody hopeless?

    Have you tried pressing F5 on the keyboard - your avatars keep changing!!!

    They do seem to be struggling don't they with the forums.

    Surely a person/department who (presumably) has qualifications in IT can deal with the problem quicker than what they have been doing. I don't know very much about IT, but I presume it's not that difficult to install some new software and transfer the data across - I would imagine it's as difficult as putting a client on a new accounting software? Perhaps???

    What about those students who have registered to do their exams via this website.

    Clearly, the AAT's website is not up to the standard which would allow students to register for exams online with confidence (I certainly would not register online - I wouldn't even do CPD online given the instability of this so called website).

    How can the AAT possibly go "paperless" when they have the shambolic website this is? The online magazine doesn't even load up correctly sometimes. It really is very, very, very worrying.

    I have managed to source Jane Scott Paul's email address from my records. I have therefore emailed Anna Hillier and copied in Jane Scott Paul so she is also aware of the complete nonsense that has been going on on this site for about 12 months. Heads need to roll.

    I'm with Steve on this. We have already had the debacle of the site crashing just when students wanted to download past exam papers. Is this going to happen again for the December exams?
    Come on AAT, get your finger out and get this problem sorted out now.
    If you are not up to the job, we have a student member who is a computer whizz kid and could probably sort the problems out in a day for you.
    Stop resting on your "so-called" laurels and start looking after your members, both student and full members. After all, that is what we pay our annual fees for, not for some green taxis to swan around London.

    I don't know whether to throw this spanner into the works but I think I have found a third forum! When I go into students or members and enter the discussion forum that way I seem to get different posts too.

    It wouldn't surprise me if there are about 6 forums for the AAT.

    It is really frustrating because I've answered a couple of posts which students have posted and, on the face of it, it looks like nobody has answered them but if you go onto the other forum you can see the replies.

    I will keep you all posted as to whether or not AAT reply to my emails. It wouldn't surprise me if their email system doesn't work!

    This has become the most frustrating time I have ever spent on this forum and I joined in December 2004. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON????? :evil:
    I have got two skills tests left to complete and am finding it hopeless due to the quality and content of this forum. I know, if I took some LSD, I might be able to understand it more.

    EDIT: WHY HAS MY AVATAR CHANGED?????????????????
