Sony E Reader

Please help. I have been given one of these wonderful gadgets that lets you store books electronically (like MP3 player) But its from America and although it works fine I cannot work out how to load books onto it. My only experience of an MP3 player is downloading I Tunes that I put on my I Pod. I am thinking that the process must be similiar.

Waterstones have just started selling E Books for the Sony E Reader but I cannot work out how to download a book and then get it into my gadget.

Has anyone got one, can you help ??

    Did you not get an installation CD or manual telling you how to upload the e-files? While I don't own one, I'd imagine something like your eBook - and also being a Sony product - would require specialist uploading software to get the device to acknowledge the file rather than just appearing as mass storage in Explorer and drag-dropping.

    While I love my gadgets, I'm not sure I'll ever own one of these devices; you can't beat holding a tangible paperback in your mitts just like Monopoly has to be played on a physical board not on a computer.

    go on google type in the make and player and it will find a manual for you

    I got the manual and the installaton discs, which ar great but they take me to the music store in America. I have fiddled about and got a book downloaded inot its library but when I drag it across to the E Reader you cannot read it, it says it has only got 1 page.

    should be able to get a ocnvertor anyway online .
