Amazing link for VAT registration date

We all know you need to know this date in order to register for compulsory online filing and that it's not always straight forward to get this info from HMRC.

Enter Italy.

http://www1.agenziaentrate.it/servizi/vies/vies.htm?act=default&piva=&stato=GB

Put the VAT number in, and it will chuck out the registration date.

Genius! :D

    That's nice for name and address but there's no registration date which is why the Italian one is so useful (but being v slow today, I hope it's working!)

    I've just tried the Italy one with 2 different companies but am not getting a registration date just verification of name and address. As I don't speak Italian should it be in the Data di inizio attività: ? It just has ND at the side.

    Just tried also and hasnt worked here either

    The website did work when Monsoon originally posted the link, but I think it stopped working a couple of weeks after.

    It has been known to work in the mornings but not the afternoons so it could be worth re-trying on Monday morning.
