How do I get a PAYE agent code?

Hi everyone

Finally I have received my agent codes for SA and CT on the same letter, but not one for PAYE which I requested in writing at the same time.

Later in the letter it does say to follow this link to obtain a PAYE reference, should I do this or wait and see if they send it to me in writing seperately? Did you get yours in writing or did you have to register online?

I think you can just do it via the gateway.gov.uk portal (not hmrc.gov.uk)

The PAYE and VT agent things are maintained differently from the SA and CT ones (I found out recently) so I would just log in to the Gateway and register that way. Once it's gone through, your ref number will be shown on the HMRC online area.
