Just want to have a little rant about how useless HMRC are! Does anyone else find that the staff on the helplines are really rude and just seem to want to get rid of you? I called up a few weeks ago about a client who has started a new venture, to check whether they needed to register as a partnership, then spoke to them about it again on a separate occasion and was given completely the opposite advice. I've sent a complaint letter but don't expect anything will come of it.
