Level 2 in Accounting vs Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2)

May I ask the difference betweeen Level 2 in Accounting vs Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2)?

Is Level 2 in Accounting,
  1. Processing Bookkeeping Transactions (PBKT)
  2. Control Accounts, Journals and the Banking System (CJBS)
  3. Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance (WKAF)
  4. Basic Costing (BCST)
  5. Computerised Accounting (CPAG)
similar to the current title Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2),
  • Bookkeeping Transactions
  • Bookkeeping Controls
  • Elements of Costing
  • Using Accounting Software
  • Work Effectively in Finance
  • Foundation Certificate Synoptic Assessment

I’ll break down what they all are first.
processing transactions (PBKT) is the same as bookkeeping transactions (BTRN)
Control accounts, journals and the banking system (CJBS) is the same as Bookkeeping controls (BKCL)
Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance (WKAF) is the same as Work effectively in finance (WEF)
Basic costing is the same as elements of costing (ELCO)
Computerised accounting (CPAG) is the same as using accounting software (sage)

The only thing that appears to be different is the foundation certificate synoptic assessment.

As far as I’m aware, the only certificate AAT offer is the latter.
    Hope this helps
