I've got me Decision & Control Exam booked in on the 27th March

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they close down the exam centres before this date due to the virus

Kaplan has already sent an email saying they are monitoring the situation

Crazy times!!!!!

I know the group our work apprentices are at hasn't yet but I expect them to soon. (They are in a learning session today which is why I know they haven't shut)

I was meant to start my first ACCA module with Kaplan tomorrow so currently waiting to hear what's happening with that.

Yeah I've had the same but I've had no details about the online schedule and the implication was that it was planned to be on tomorrow but haven't had confimation either way at this point. (Do'nt want to pick up a larger job if I'm studying online for the next 3 days etc)

I think everybody works differently. Based on what I've done with them so far I'd probably be fine with just the study texts.

Given that this lockdown could continue for several months, I wonder whether the AAT would consider allowing the on-line modular exams to be undertaken from home? I realise that this would effectively be 'open book', but the completion time could possibly be reduced accordingly, say by 15 to 30 mins, to reduce the temptation for anyone to consult a text book. After all, once you have clicked on the start button, the seconds start ticking away. I appreciate that this may seem like devaluing the exam, but the alternative is that the AAT and all students will face a continual backlog.

TBH I was asking in relation to Foundation Level, as I was due have the Elements of Costing exam next week, but rather than starting a new thread on Exam Centres closed due to Coronavirus, I thought it best to post on this one. That exam needs to be done before the Synoptic which I anticipate could be delayed to September, when a 're-sit' date has been scheduled. Given that GCSE and 'A' Level assessments have to be looked at differently by their respective exam boards, the AAT needs to consider a way round its current impasse, otherwise everyone will be on hold indefinitely.

**GREAT NEWS FOR AAT LEARNERS WAITING TO SIT AAT ASSESSMENTS** -

For a limited period only, students will be able to claim 'recognised prior learning' for any units (excluding synoptic assessments, units that are only assessed as part of a synoptic assessment, and single unit qualifications) to a maximum of 50% of the qualification. This standard restriction will be re-applied when the assessments are reinstated. PM me with your email address and I can send you the guide I have downloaded from AAT.

Anyone confused about the stance of Kaplan?
I had my FSCL exam in March which was cancelled due to C-19. Mid-April they announced on their website that following government guidelines they would be taking provisional exam bookings from 1st June. I have therefore rescheduled my exam, for mid-June (although not convinced this will happen)....now Kaplan statement on their website (updated 20.04.2020) that all exams for the foreseeable future are cancelled and anyone with an exam scheuled from June onwards will be contacted and refunded.
I have not yet heard from Kaplan directly for a refund - but when I spoke to the student services team on Monday she could not give me a clear answer as to whether or not the exam was going to go ahead!
Anyone else with a similar predicament? Anyone ACTUALLY know whether exams will take place or not? Seems not even their staff know the situation.

I’m doing level 4 & my understanding was AAT weren’t offering remote exams due to the nature of the exams & level of competency required for the profession.
