Fingers crossed for your results :)

I remember this dreaded wait especially for MDCL.... It took me a fair few attempts to pass it - I found it such a hard exam!

    Good luck! :+1:

Apologies - my post was full of good luck wishes! - but the truth is its a hard exam.

How did you feel it went?, was this your first time sitting the exam? - also did you prepare well before practice questions/mock exams etc?

If you did the above and put the time in you ofcourse have a great chance!

Only bantering =) 1st time taking the exam.... it felt like a tough exam. .. but not a disaster..... I feel I'm limping to the finishing line a bit though.... after completing the Financial Statements and budgeting exams fairly quickly and passing them well.... it feels like I've hit a wall abit.... only just passed my external auditing exam with 79%... but a pass is a pass....

    :) Oh haha!

It certainly is a tough exam. It was my toughest one by far, and I hear that from alot of colleagues and fellow AAT students who I know.

A pass is a pass - thats the best attitude to have :+1: (this was my view towards every AAT exam) - AAT are looking for students to pass and show competency.

Well if you put in the work, aced the mocks etc - sounds like a good chance but ofcourse the exam can always through us sometimes - fingers crossed though!

I was on the MyAAT portal each result day from like 7AM in the morning awaiting my MDCL results (knowing fair well that they wouldn't be released before 10AM normally), but that didn't bother me I was dying to know :#

Keep positive & Good luck!! :)

Oh no!, 1%..... I'm really sorry to hear this.
I have heard that appealing is not worthwhile - I read a post on a Facebook group with a student who also got 69%, appealed the result and the mark didn't change. Due to the paper having the majority automatically marked by a computer the only areas which will be reviewed will be the written questions, which are human marked.

One benefit of appealing is that you are provided with a more comprehensive feedback report which may help in some ways. However with that being said you are already so close to passing. Therefore I am sure it’s nothing that you can’t brush up on, try again and pass :)

    Good luck! :+1:

No harm in doing do! - also if successful and more points are awarded you get the Β£35 fee refunded!

I also appealed this exam a few attempts ago before finally passing it, however my mark was much lower and I appealed on the basis to receive the more comprehensive feedback report you are provided with. This helped me revision wise and to eventually pass the exam.

Ah... wasn't aware that you get the money back if successful... I'm dubious how objective these reviews will be considering it must be a nice source of revenue for the AAT ....but as you say the detailed feed

I enclose the link to the AAT's Enquiries & Appeals section on their website:
    https://www.aat.org.uk/assessment/enquiries-and-appeals

Also found this paragraph on the above link which may help:

AAT will carry out various checks to determine whether your result is correct. If we find any errors, we will correct these and refund any fees that have been paid as part of the enquiries and appeals procedure. However, it is important to note that marks or grades can go down as well as up.

Good luck with your appeal :+1:
