Hi all,
I’m looking for some help and advice regarding AAT Level 4. I completed AAT Level 3 back in 2022 and started Level 4 shortly after. I managed to pass my first unit (DAIF), but unfortunately had to pause my studies due to personal circumstances.
I’m now ready to continue and have started studying Credit & Debt Management (C&DM) on my own through self-study. Could anyone advise on the following:
How can I book AAT Level 4 exams as an external candidate?
Where can I find reliable resources or study materials for self-study?
Any guidance or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Best regards

Hi @Amna
I hope you are well?
If you want to book AAT Exams the AAT website has External Test Centre venues which you can book. See link provided - https://www.aat.org.uk/assessment-venues/search
As for study materials it really depends on who you did it with before. So for example I used Kaplan so I would mainly stick with them. I do have a code for Kaplan books whereby once you apply the code it turns to half price. Others use BPP etc for example so it just depends who you used before or feel comfortable with.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks

Hi Amna,
I'm in a similar position having done level 2and 3 at college but now self studying as the college didn't offer level 4.
I agree with Shamil on using the same materials as your previous levels, it just makes it easier using familiar books. I use Osbourne books but yes, Osbourne, Kaplan etc, all available to buy online.
Your AAT Level 4 registration obviously gives you the usual learning resources and mock exams etc.
There are lots of Youtube videos that are really useful, just search YT for AAT level 4.
For the exams I use Pitman Training. They have about 40 centres around the country. They host 3 to 4 exams per week including Saturdays and liaise with AAT for you. Whenever I'm ready for an exam I just phone them and they can usually do it within a week. You pay them directly for the exam.
The link in previous post will give you all the exam host venues, it's just about choosing whichever is closest, cheapest, most accessible or whatever the priority is.
Hope this helps and good luck with your studies.
Regards
Phil
