i work full time in accounts but we are currently saving for a house and would appreciate any extra income.

I Have finished foundation and i complete book-keeping and VAT returns at work.

What are your thoughts on going self emplyed as a book keeper out of hours (my boss is ok with this)

Not sure if people would think i am experienced enough???

Has anyone done this or do you think it is worth a shot?

Any advice regarding this would be great.

Thanks in advance

People may be wary as you suggested and if there are any queries I would suggest that you have a good support system behind you.

You will also need to ensure that you are set up with HMRC & have the correct insurances and if working from home change your home insurance as when you work from home it does change your premiums.

Contact CAB as they are geared up to assist people in starting their own business and HMRC themselves run workshops all over the country to get people started.
