Who has been to an award ceremony?

For those who have been fortunate enough to be able to attend one of the award ceremonies....what are they like?

I was hoping that a few people on here would have been to one of these ceremonies this year. I'm going to the one in York at the end of November and really keen to know what they are like and what to expect.

I went to the one at Manchester....it was great.

Met loads of people, and I know that pencil wants to know what the women were wearing. So, alot were wearing suits or short/ knee length dresses, one or two were wearing ball gowns....so I may suggest you do not opt for that as they were in the minority and stood out.

They do have a photographer there that will put you in a gown and take your photo, so you do not actually have to book that in advance. You may want to though if you do not want to spend 5 minutes filling out the form.

That's my sequined 'come dancing' gown put away and my smart trouser suit coming out for an outing instead.

i am wonderful thank very much . yeh well enjoyed .......free wine cant complain can you !!
