Do I need MIP to do accounts for a friend ?

A friend of mine has asked me to do the books for him for his own business, I am AAT qualified but still have to submit my work experience and not MIP.
I am wondering if i need to be MIP to be able to do his books and taxes etc ?

If you do it for a fee yes you will need to register as MIP.0
