Ive recently started my own practice and have done so under close guidance from a chartered accountant! Long story but can't believe how lucky I have been.

Anyway....

At the moment im not AAT qualified but I will be in August and I'll be applying for full membership...

Sorry if im babbling but I am getting to a point (honest) :D

Although i'm not currently qualified and rest assured I make NO reference to the AAT body as yet :)... but I have taken on a new client and his old accountant was FMAAT qualified, again much like myself in August!

My current professional ethics are FAR and ABOVE this previous accountant!!!! He DOES make reference to the body and I think he is a disgrace to the AAT! So my question is how do I go about putting my point across about this person and try to protect the professionalism of the AAT?

Kind regards

Dean

    Re:??????

    Hi Dean

Firstly I would phone the AAT - it may be best to ring the members number, see what they say. You will probably have to write to them and back your case with evidence, so they can investigate your complaint.
What does the accountant that you have taken advice from think? It my be best to ask their advice first.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I have come to the conclusion that it is my client that has the evidence and not me. I will advice him that if he wishes and feels strongly enough about it than should lodge a complaint with the AAT direct.

    Thanks for your points.

    Regards
