I am currently studying at Technician level and am wondering what level of experience you need in order to qualify as an AAT full member.

I have about three years experience in an accounts position and my main responsibilities have been maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, allocating customer remittance, VAT returns, bank reconciliations etc. I have had no experience of drafting final or management accounts.

Have I covered enough to be granted full membership? If not what further experience do I need? and can I alternatively gain full membership by completing CPD?

    Hi

    It sounds as if your work experienc will be fine. It does have to be work experience though, CPD itself won't count towards entry to membership.

    Thanks very much for that. Is it just a case of describing your experience on relevant documentation to the AAT and getting your employer to verify the experience?

    Not sure if that makes sense. lol

    Don't know why im so worried about this, i've got three exams to pass in June. Arghhhh!!!!
