Just thought I'd say thanks for the support you showed re my reply to Paul's personal tax question . I've replied personally to XFSJPR but wanted to thank you for the support. It would seem that there are some students/members that seem to think others will be intimidated (and possibly impressed) by their pathetic attitude. It's people like that we need to stand up to on these forums as Lincs quite rightly points out - it will put others off. I think XFS.... needs to sort out a few personal issues - hence the sarcastic and moronic attitude. Our practice has names for people like XFS... but I will leave those to your imagination!!
I couldn't understand why the idiot wanted to get into such a big deal about it - but some people just seem to think they are the big "I AM". I hope his attitude changes because s/he won't get anywhere in life with those people skills.
Once again thanks - it was appreciated
Regards
Steve

Re:FAO BlueWednesday and Lincs
Hi
I have just briefly read your discussions and I think you are quite right to stand up for yourself and threaten reporting the incident to the AAT. I am fairly sure I have had help from you in the past and anyone who is prepared to go to a lot of effort to help students is just what this forum needs.
We are not always right all of the time and it is easy to take adverse comments badly in a context such as this but personal attacks should not be tolerated.
Any help can point you in the right direction especially from experienced people such as yourself. Different people's opinons are fine as they help us all learn but nasty messages are not at all constructive.
So thanks basically.

Thank ToriT - yes your alias rings a bell - I think I have seen your queries once or twice on the posts. Thank you for your support.
The incident has now been sorted out and we can all move on. It definitely won't be an issue on here again. I think it might just have been a clash of personalities - but I've forgotten about it now. More important things to think about now.
All I can say, in my defence, is that I'm good at what I do and I know what I'm talking about and try to pass it on to the rest of the students. I work very, very hard (and play very hard as well 8) but my success is based on my predecessor trainers and ex co-students, as well as my friends and family (and Amy) who have been there with me in the same boat. The students of this site who, equally, work hard to pass their exams and who may go on to further exams, also will benefit - it may not seem like it now but believe me it will! Get AAT under your belt and your laughin!
I have posted articles, practice questions and various other pointers to help students pass their exams because I know how bloody hard they are. I have got friends who have done the AAT and, yes, some people view it as the "junior" accountancy qualification. But I have sat AAT and ACCA examinations and the AAT exams are as demanding as final level ACCA papers. This requires a damn lot of hard work. I make no apologies for blasting people who say that AAT is "the junior" qualification. Let them try sitting a DFS paper and see if they can do a consolidation or know what an associate/joint venture is!
I will continue to help students on this post - regardless of what has happened over the last couple of days. I do it because not only do I care but there are times you feel isolated and (especially in summer) you think "why the bloody hell have I done this to myself". I know Annette (BlueWednesday) who is mid-way through ACCA has asked me that a couple of times! she'll pass it (with flying colours) anyway!!
She knows I know she will!
Good luck with the rest of your studies and if you have any ? let me know.
Regards
Steve
p.s. Annette - I want an invite to your prize winners presentation as well!!!!
