Unhappy at Work

I'm really not enjoying work anymore :( I work in a small office so my boss and colleagues are pushing me really hard to finish everything. Ive been working for four months and have only just done a Basic Book Keeping workshop, but they've got me doing draft a/cs and I don't know what I'm doing! And when I make a mistake they really lay into me and are quite happy to reduce me to tears. I would really like some advice, I don't know what to do because I really want to leave but I really want my qualification first. I can't tell my boss I'm unhappy because she's hardly ever here and because its an all girl office there would be so much bitching afterwards. Please help! :cry:

    Hi, I am in exactly the same situation that its strange! I've been working in an accounts since Oct only had BBK workshop and they expect me to know everything. The other day I got something wrong on an accounts draft and the boss had such a go at me that I sat in my room (with 3 other people) and cried.     it is weird that we both feel like this at work and we both use A+ Training! Which company do you work for? I will add you to msn tonight if thats ok

    How are you coping with being picked on? What do you think I should do? I really dont know who I should talk to about it.

    Do you know Katherine Daniel that works for Thomas Westcott in Bideford? I do my training with her in Bideford. I honestly couldnt say. Do u belong to a union? Or at least get joined to one so they can fight your corner if it came to blows. Its difficult because if you say soemthing like you say then you've gota work with these people. I just know that Im staying here to get trained and experience then Im goind self employed. That keeps me going really.

    I do my workshops in Exeter. How are you finding them? Ive only been to 2 so I can't honestly say but so far I think they've been quite good.

    Yeah Ive always said once I get my qualification I'm gonna move on, thats whats kept me going up until now. I don't think I can handle this for another 2 and a half yrs! Sorry I don't know Katherine, does she use the forum too?

    Argh, really don't know what to do, I cant cope anymore :(

    I dont think they're brilliant, they're ok. Workshops are very few and far between being as accountancy isnt the easiest subject in the world. I havent got another one for 6 weeks! I keep saying to my boss that I would improve faster if I had proper training like going to college once a week but A+ is the cheaper option for them.

    I would have preferred to do day release too, but there aren't many colleges in devon that offer it. My friend is doing AAT Foundation by day release but she has to go all the way to Saltash and she has to make her own way there and back! Im happy with the training so far, just not happy with work!

    U ought to speak to A+ and find out if you can carry on with them if you wasn't working and how much it will cost. If you really dont enjoy working there then I would suggest look for something else or do something completely different just to fund your training. I dont find that at work you put into practice what you learn anyway
