MAS project Unit 10 simulation

Hi all,

Is anyone doing the simulation (D1922) set by the AAT for this unit, i have had to do it as i am not working at the moment, i have actually started it and have written about 500 words.

How are you finding it, i am ok managing to write about the company but am finding it hard to find what improvements to make.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

    What is the company name of that simulation? Im doing one about a hotel?

    Yep, Castonbridge Hotel are you doing that too?? How are you finding it?

    The hardest thing I found about doing Castonbridge Hotel sim was keeping it to 4000 words. There are so many areas to write about, that I couldn't get it below 4500. Anyway gave it in, and the lecturer said the number of words isn't really important, and that he had marked other reports of up to 6000 words before!!!!!

    I know the problems in the hotel and can think of some solutions, it's the setting it all out that is completely throwing me

    I found the AAT example called 'DELTEC' very similar. This shows a similar type of business with a layout that can be copied. I also found the Osbourne book for unit 11 extremely helpful. The DELTEC example is in the book, as well as a recommended layout and helpful hints for every stage of the project. I've finished my project now so if anybody wants my Unit 11 book they can for £10 + £2 p+p.
    The book costs £17.95 new + p+p.
    The book is in excellent condition.

    If you look in the resource section on the web site there is a template which is really helpful for knowing how to set it out. Im finding it hard to write alot about the problems, did you just write about the purchases as a problem?

    I was going to do the staffing problems (they aren't happy) and the computer system needs sorting out

    Hi,
    I'm still wading through the information, but it sounds like I might not have too many problems then? It's just a case of getting started.

    How's everyone getting on?

    especially with Castonbridge Hotels
