Has anyone used Sage Client Manager. The Sage sales guy says I can use this to do the books for small businesses who don't have their own copy of sage software. I'd like to know if this is really feasible. Can you run all the usual reports - debtors creditors, activity reports, and run month and year end for all of the 25 companies it is supposed to be able to handle?

    Hi Sheelagh

    I use client manager.
It is possible to run all the reports you need for each company. I have never had a problem at all. All my management accounts, activity reports etc all run smoothly. I have had no trouble with year ends either.

    Michelle,
Thank you for that. One more thought occurred to me.
I do all the bookkeeping and management accounts for my clients, then send the data to an accountant for statutory accounts, tax returns etc. Can you send a data file for an individual client from your client manager to the accountants copy of client manager?

    Hi Sheelagh

Yes you can, I send information via an email attachment. They should be able to restore your data as normal.
The only problem I found is when the Sage your using is a newer version than the one someone else is using. I found this out by trying to send info from my Version 12 to someone who has version 11 - they can't read it, although it works vice versa.

    Hope this helps
