    Re:Farewell AAT!!

    Hi

I'm in the same position as you as in NO MORE AAT EXAMS :)

I too failed DFS in June but I didn't go back to college I just taught myself and hey presto I passed. I am so pleased, even if I do say so myself as I really feel I have achieved something this time.

However I got the study bug and have also started ACCA - ah well only 11 more exams to go

Best of luck for the future.

    Regards
    Michelle

    Re:Farewell AAT!!

I have not stopped studying since I finished school.
First A levels then college courses, teacher training, then a degree, finally AAT or so I thought until I decided to do ACCA. All in between working full time until recently when I went self employed / sub contracting.

I don't think I would know what to do with my spare time if I stopped now.

By the way I am 31!!
It must be something in the water here as my husband has also gone back to college!!

    Re:Farewell AAT!!

Well i'm 40, 1 did AAT foundation in 1990 (all exams back then!), then had a long gap, did intermediate at College and passed level 2 in june 2000. Got all the books to do home study the follwing year - ha ha that didnt happen NO DISCIPLINE BACK THEN. I finally went back to college in sept 05, and have just passed PCR and PEV hurray) so one more exam, two devolved assessments and one project to go (in between working, selling my house and looking after my terrible two-year old!!. I am determiend to finish AAT if it kills me!

    Hi

    Well done Linda.
I know the feeling especially when you have kids. My son is 6 and so it has made studying a little easier as I have time when he is at school.
I felt the same about completing AAT and I am so glad I have finally finished it.

Good Luck with your future studies you will get there in the end.

    Hi everyone

I have finally passed and what a relief.:lol: I never thought i'd get past PCR, variances kill me.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who passed and to the people who didn't, don't fret, i detested the thought of going back to college to resit PCR and DFS but it is worth sticking in there and and dont give up!!!!

    Kind regards to all members

    Re:Farewell AAT!!

I think my class would definately blame our tutor as 5 out of 17 of us passed DFS! :(
I re-sat DFS (and did my own studying at weekends) & PCR & am happy to say that I have finished AAT
Got my life back at last
