Hi there everyone, so I failed PCR after absolutely no problems in class so where did it all go wrong? Task 3 with the marginal costing, was that the worst question ever or what? Out of all the past papers there was only one with marginal costing on so i suppose I should have seen it coming, how evil though!
Where did everyone else go wrong? Please say it was the same question and its not me being dumb! Id be interested to know how we were supposed to go about it from all the brainy people who passed!!!

I sympathise I really do. It happened to be that the last past paper I did the night before was the one on marginal costing so I knew what to do. That was the only reason I knew how to deal with that question, as we did not really touch this in class.
Good luck with your resit - you'll do it next time.
Take care.

Re:PCR - where did it all go wrong???!!!!
I know exactly where I went wrong. I used their figures in section 2 for the full budgeted cost of production and didn't work it out for the actual production. :x Wot a complete plonker  Knew as soon as I walked out that I'd sc****d up.
The results proved me correct, passed the first half, failed the second. Oh well, four exams to sit in June rather than just three.
I now have a mantra.....
Must plug in brain before sitting exams!0 -
Re:PCR - where did it all go wrong???!!!!
I totally screwed up Task 2.1 - I know this because my figure came back negative :?
To my surprise after 2 months thinking I failed, I miraculously passed the paper
Do not be too downhearted about failing this time, this was my 4th attempt at PCR and I finally nailed it.
Good luck in June.
I'm off to study DFS now.... think I'll need 4 months study of it to have any hope of passing this one!!0 -

I thought i had failed PCR too. I was ok on section 1 but was convinced i had gone wrong on the flexed budget as i had negative figures!
Spent the last 2 months thinking definitely failed and dreading thought of resitting - but by some miracle i passed.
Passed PTC too. Just DFS and PEV to do in June!
Don't give up - definitely worth it!

I was very pleased to note I passed part 1 as I thought I'd messed it up. I am not really surprised to have failed part 2 as I screwed up the contibution and so my e-mail was bound to full of rubbish.
I am definitely revising contribution for June!

Thanks for being positive for me!
Even my tutor said the second part of the paper was a bit evil and sure enough, when my results arrived in the post I'd passed part 1 and not part 2!
Only 2 exams to do in the summer though, I think some people have got it worse than that. Good luck for the future everyone! x0
