I am new to the forum, after leaving the exams in December was unhappy with the PEV exam, but pleased with PCR I even had extra time to go over the paper! Fully confident I had done very well, to discover yesterday I have failed both. I am gutted, I am mature student, studying is not as easy as it used to be, any tips.

I know exactly how you feel and sympathise I failed PCR twice (also thought I had done enough to pass both times)and DFS once. I struggled through the whole course, started at Intermediate level and went to college 2 nights a week straight from work (30 mile journey to work) left home at 7am and got home at 9.30pm am in my mid 30's & was knackered! But found out yesterday I'd finally passed everthing so all I can say is to persevere and keep revising past papers
    Good luck

I agree, waiting till June is awful, I would sooner re-sit in a couple of weeks, wish AAT could change it. Will cram on the past papers, thanks for your support.

    Re:PCR & PEV December 2005

Have just failed PCR (total plonker - I know I know it, but didn't prove that in the exam, stupid mistake) but passed PTC. Took on board the adage life begins at 40 and started retraining 4 years after that. My best tip would be to see if you can get a group together outside of college.
I started at Intermediate, in the class were 3 other "older" (but younger than me) ladies. We gelled and make a habit of having a study evening every now and then where we go over things we haven't quite grasped. We generally find that one of us has got it and talks the others through until they get it too. If any of us gets stuck doing homework, the others are always available to help.
