Does anyone have any good study aids to help learn all these rules and regulations?

I have tried on numberous occassions, but my memory is like a sieve and I want to get a 4 month headstart on knowing them all.

Can anyone help? :P

    Hi Kris,

    I wrote them on index cards and just took them every where with me to work, cricket matches etc

    Just study one per lunchtime

    Get colleagues to test you at random and they will stick

    I passed first time and have passed this technique on to a few others who also passed first time.

    Do not get over concerned with knowing the complete detail as there is alot more in the exam than these.

    My OH really helped me with slightly bizarre random visual images...

    for instance...

    SSAP 4 - Accounting for Government Grants = imagine Grant Mitchell sitting in a 4x4 !

    FRS 4 - Capital Instruments = imagine 4 musicians playing their instruments, each one standing at each leg of the Eiffel Tower !

    But my favourite of all has to be:

    SSAP 17 - Accounting for Post Balance Sheet Events = Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (gives the 1 and 7 = 17) trying to balance bed sheets on posts!!! I will NEVER forget that one....

    just a shame they've been changed to IASs, but the principle is still the same!

    I also had them on little cards which had the number on one side and the name on the other and I got people to randomly pick them and ask either the description from the number or the number from the description.
