Can you answer this

This is a question i have just done this morning but i dont agree with the answer they have given me .
The question is as follows
The following information is availible concerning Meads Sales ledger:
Debtors 1.1.X7......................£3752
Returns Inwards.....................£449
Cheqs rec From Customers Bounced....£25
Credit Sales In Year to 31.12.x7....£24918
Cheques from debtors................£561
Purchase Ledger Contra..............£126
Cash Sales..........................£3009

Write Up the Sales ledger control account for the year ended 31 december 20x7


The Answer according to the book is as follows

Sale Ledger control account
Balance B/D 3,752 Returns Inwards 449
Cheques Dishon 25 Cheques 21,037
Credit sales 24,918 Cash 561
Contra W Purchase 126
Bal C/D 6,522
28,695 28,695
Bal B/D 6,522

My question is where has the cash sales gone or why have they not been included . I am truely stumped with this one i have read the chapter over and over to see if i am missing something i included the cash sales so i came up with a different answer

    Hi PAJ.

    Your Sales Ledger Control Account only deals with CREDIT sales.

    Similarly, your Purchase Ledger Control Account only deals with CREDIT purchases.
