Instead of going through a training provider for my Intermediate costing exam I have decided to do a home study of my Finance exam.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of Study Material, my company want to purchase study software as well as books etc to help me prepare for my Finance exam.
Any links, tips and other information would be great!

Re:Study Material
there are a plethora of different accountancy books available - but it is probably wise to get the official AAT ones (maybe someone who has finished the course will sell you theirs?) I found that using AAT books made a lot more sense when it came to exams because of their own phases/layouts and of course sylibus.
Using the practice papers on this website should give you some resources to help you prepare too.0 -

Hiya
I am a bit confused when you say the finance exam - are you on diploma course or are you referring to the FRA oe ECR NVQ exam?
You will still need a training provider or college to mark your skills tests and portfolio (unless you are on diplome) for you.
It is not possible to do the AAT purely on your own.
I and lots of other people would recommend Osbourne books.0 -

Thanks for that, I do have some of the official books that my training provider have given me to study from. Does anyone know if there are any study items in electronic format such as CD Roms etc?0 -

Re:Study Material
Ah I see! I thought from what you said that it was first attempt, so no you won't need a training provider to do a resit.

aye ha, I just felt that my provider was letting me down and I found it very hard to study with them. My work suggested that instead of taking a day release that I may like to stay in work and do two half days of training a week, just until I have done my resit and then go back to my training provider to do my technician level.0
