Unit 5 Exam simulation

We have been given homework to complete on the unit 5 exam simulation. I did some work in class before half term on Purchase ledger control account where you have to find the missing figure for discount received. i found the figure in class but now have a brain blockage and forgot what I did. Can anyone help to knock my brain cells into gear. Thanks

    If you think about what your PLCA will have in it, it should be straightforward to see what the missing figure will be.

    Cr Balance b/d
    Cr Purchases

    Dr Payments to creditors
    Dr Discounts Recieved ????
    Dr Balance c/d (ie creditors)

    So, basically the missing figure in this case is just debits - credits.
