Hi there! Im new to this forum. It is already march and am due to take the foundation exam in june and ive not even started my portfolio yet! I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could answer a couple of questions for me about the portfolio that have been bothering me for some time....
1) What does it mean by 'range statement' in the student record? what sort of evidence do i provide for that?
2) I was told to provide evidence other than simulations done in class. Can i just set myself questions and then answer them. Will that do as evidence?

p.s i would also really appreciate it if someone could give me an example of an evidence that they have done to guide me, as i am really confused about this whole portfolio thing!

The range statement gives details of the different situations the performance criteria must cover.
So for example, the performance criteria may cover an aspect of recording receipts, the range statement may then go on to say what sort of receitps or the documents to be used etc. You will need to make sure any evidence (sims from class or your own) cover the performance criteria and the range statement.
As for evidence to support your simulations, things that show what you are doing at work (screen prints, reports, testimonials etc) is what you will need. Probably best to check this with your tutor so as to use things that are suitable.
