I have recently sat the first costing simulation, unfortunately got stuck on the first question. How did anyone else split the invoice of temporary workers of plumbers and electricians into the first 3 cost centres?
Thanks

Re:Costing simulation
Hi There,
I did the simulation last week, the costs for the plumbers and electicians are classed as direct labour so it isn't included in the analysis of overheads!

Re:Costing simulation
I have just sat this skills test today. Somebody in class after a while just stood up and said I'm sorry I just can't do it and then everybody else started saying me too, it was very funny. Despite putting highlighter pen all over the bit in my book that says direct costs are not included I was still stuck for ages. But yes, the answer is only the indirect labour costs were allocated, you should have ignored the plumbers and electricians.
Tell you what - wish I had read this post before taking the test this morning

Re:Costing simulation
Hi Jen
You say you have already done the costing skills test.
Could you please help me out, how do you work out what the variable cost is for the boilers?
With thanks
