Simple Cash/Bank Accounts

I am currently compelting an assignment where i have to transfer all the cash book info in to the general ledger, and then produce a trial balance using the cash and bank balances brough down from the cash book, and the totals from the general ledger.

What parts am i reconciling?, i can get the trial balance to balance at the end(both the totals of the debit and credit sides of the trial balance show £10,552) but is this the outcome i should be looking for?

    No I think Lincs means HE posted his post in error not yours! Just to clarify your original post though - if your Trial Balance agrees you are on the right track.

    I've done four Cash/Bank reconciliations now and they all balance.
