I am currently have 2/3 years experience in accounts, both financial and managment accounts experience. I am looking to make the breakthrough into working for an accountancy practice.
I have a perfectly good CV, but am struggling when it comes to a covering letter. Has anybody applied to work in practice, and have a covering letter that i can look at?
If so, i would be grateful if you could email to sjbherself@yahoo.co.uk.
Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help

Re:Covering letter
sorry can't give you what you ask but remember these things:
your address
their address
subject line (in bold and caps)
date the letter
I usually talk about what I bring to their company and use fancy words such as "self-motivation", highlight your major achievements to date, and generally try to paint yourself as someone they can't do without.
Hope this helps in some way

Re:Covering letter
I would use the covering letter to sell myself. Look through the job description and person specification and write your letter accordingly ie emphasise the points they mention that you are strong at. I would also suggest looking at your CV and doing the same. If they ask for experience in a particular thing make sure you make reference to the fact that you have done it in your CV.
Basically between the two point out as many matches between your ability and thier requirements as possible. At the end of the day the are looking for someone that matches what they want so all you have to do is provide them with the evidence that you are their match.
Good luck
