Can somebody help me with this?

I work for a charity and we have over 80 branches.

We brough forward their opening balances last year on to our accounting software (Exchequer Enterprise). (previous years we used an excel spreadsheet to do this excericse).

I've record their I&E and the top hald of the balance sheet as a nominal journal and balances however my question is how do I post the bottom half of the balance sheet. On our accounts software the opening balance is correct, so how do I post their surplus/deficit (they had a deficit for the year)?
