Does anyone know of occurences of people working in practice and leaving for industry?
Is this a regular phenomenon?
Do they end up coming back?
Do they prefer it?
etc etc
I'm just thinking that I might go into practice but with a long term goal of moving into industry. I would prefer to work in industry but the experience you can gain by working in practice seems invaluable.
Thanks in advance
Adrian

Re:Career Advice
Hi lincs,
I know it is very common for practice people to move into industry! I did it the other way round though (just to be different!!)
Practice can be quite dull at times - especially if working on a client who's books and records are in a complete mess (which happens quite frequently in practice). I think this is why people tend to move into industry - also the wages are higher in industry than in practice depending on what level you are on.
