Re:wich Pathway ???
Hi
You can do the NVQ by distance learning, though since you dont work in accounts, you tutor may advise the diploma route.

Re:wich Pathway ???
The Diploma route is designed for those who donot work in accounts. The old NVQ requires you to do a lot of work based assessments that you may not be able to complete if you don't work in Accounts/Finanace environment. I'm doing Diploma through Distance Learing. As far as I'm concerned, you will get the same qualification at the end, you won't be missing any of the topics covered and they are made easier for you to study. I 've seen the list of NVQ units and the Diploma route is better designed. I suggest you think about your choice again. You are better off studying through the new route.Presently i am not working in Accountancy inviorment
Thanks

But , I have still some quastion about the diploma pathway. Can any body explain about this?
1. Can effcet to take decision in selection for future employer between NVQ and Diploma pathway ?
2. Is there same recognisation of each stage like NVQ for employment ? or Diploma pathway is only pathway for obtain a final dastination(Tacnition)AAT.
3. Can effect to obtain a some skills, which skills cant get thought Diploma ?
Any body please reply my quations. So i can take right dicision to select a right pathway of my career.
Thanks alot In Advance.

Re:wich Pathway ???
Hi
Generally the NVQ and Diploma routes should be recognised as equal. Any employer that doesn't know much about the AAT qualification will just be looking for 'AAT Qualified' anyhow, and any employer that does know about the AAT will know that both routes are the same.
For exemptions, the Diploma is recognises as the same as the NVQ.
I completed my qualification through the NVQ route by distance learning and although I was working in an accounts role, I didnt actually use any work based eveidence as such. I completed simulations with additional practical tasks set for anything not covered by the simulation. Plenty of people have completed an AAT NVQ while not working in an accounts role. However, had I had the choice I porbably would have taken the DIploma route as it does seem to be better suited to the distance learning format.
At the end of the day you have to do what you are happy with, so its really up to you.

Re:wich Pathway ???
I'll go with that. As Neil said above, there is no difference between the two.At the end of the day you have to do what you are happy with, so its really up to you.
And please also try and spell-check your postings before submitting.
Kind regards

Re:wich Pathway ???
Hi,
I'm currently studying foundation NVQ at college and I dont work in accounts either. For most of the work place evidence my tutor said to base it on the college, so it is possible. But i'm not sure about distance learning.

Re:wich Pathway ???
Me!
However I do work in an accounts environment, but in practice, so my work doesn't really cover anything in foundation so I'm doing simulations for everything.

Re:wich Pathway ???
Hi
I studied the diploma pathway at college where some people were doing NVQ also.
If you are not in a position to gather evidence to complete a portfolio, i suggest you consider the diploma pathway which is an examination, 2 skills tests and a health and safety project.0
