Hi there i am doing or trying to do the additional questions on Unit 6 i need help on question 3 which is about producing a report covering annual accounting, cash accounting and bad debt relief.

Would buying the books help on these additional questions if so which 1 do I buy and where from ?

I know i am supposed to have bought the books but as i have a young family i am struggling with the funds and £20 is £20, i was also told to pass this course i wouldn t need to buy any books as the tutor would get us through it, and as I got through unit 5 without any books it seems so any ideas would be much appreciated.
Also once i have finished Level 3 i am not quite sure of what to do next I have decent experience in accounts, sage, etc.. and with my AAT Level 3 it should help for future jobs. Should i carry on with level 4 my employer has said he will pay for the course and give me time off but I struggle at home to find the time to do the homework set and don t want to waste my time as I have struggled to find time time to do my level 3 Thanks

    Re:Additional Questions

    Hi there

Cant help with the first part of your question but can with the second part - if your employer will fund and give you time off for part 4 go for it. There are lots of us on here that have had full time jobs, young families, no money and got to pass the exams - i am sorry if this sounds condescending, it is not meant to be, just to show that it is possible. I have passed all my exams and am now a MIP. I work for myself so had no employer to pay for courses or give me time off. Also got 3 kids and a hubby so 4 kids in effect. It is not easy at times with people pulling you in different directions, bit it is all worthwhile in the end when you can finally put the letters after your name.

    Keep perservering

    Re:Additional Questions

    Hi,

if you don't want to purchase the book, the elements re annual accounting, cash accounting, and bad debt relief relate to HMCE and VAT.

You can view these from their website. Annual and cash accounting are two schemes which the HMCE offer in respect to small business - remember VAT is all about sales and CASH payments and receipts. The VAT 700 download will also help you - this is the bible in respect to VAT.

    Hope this helps, Chris :)
